Dr. Melina has a mission of helping individuals in getting back their health and/or losing weight based on scientific and practical approach. The program of Dr. Melina does not involve empty promises. Her nutrition program is based on real science and the one the fits your lifestyle.
Who Is Dr. Melina B. Jampolis?
Dr. Melina is one of the few board certified physician nutrition specialists in the US. She is specializing in helping individuals to lose weight, prevent disease and treat certain ailments through proper nutrition.
She graduated from Tufts University and Tufts School of Medicine.
She finished her residency program in internal medicine at the Santa Clara Valley Medical Center, which is a Stanford University teaching hospital.
You may know her as the diet and fitness expert for CNN Health’s website.
In 2007, she released her first book called “The No-Time-to-Lose Diet. She has also written another weight loss book “The Busy Person’s Guide to Permanent Weight Loss” in May 2008.
And in March 2012, she has released another book – The Calendar Diet. It is a guide to lose weight but the guide is quite different each month.
Treating and Preventing Childhood Obesity
One of the main goals of Melina B. Jampolis, M.D. as a nutrition expert is to assist children in treating and preventing obesity. She is recently involved in launching a health food pantry in San Francisco. She also conducts a bi-weekly counseling session about family nutrition and obesity at the Bresee Foundation in LA.
As a nutrition specialist at Back to Wellness Center, Dr. Melina will create a personalized nutrition to lose weight. She also conducts weight loss consultations to chosen patients.
Her nutrition and weight programs will include personalized nutrition program, exercise and supplements.
As a believer of proper nutrition, Dr. Melina will never prescribe diet pills or encourage you to follow a fad diet.
Consulting with her about your obesity problem will involve an analysis of your medical, dietary and exercise history. You will also undergo body composition test in our clinic to further help you with your weight loss goal.
And if needed, she may request blood work.
Dr. Melina B. Jampolis conducts consultations through emails or in-person. When you make a consultation with her, she recommends maintaining a journal for five days before your first consultation.
