Holistic Approach to Life with Ayurveda

Ayurveda is known to be holistic health systems that aim at bringing about peace and harmony in the body with nature. Ayurveda and Ayurvedic are healthy to both the mind and soul. We live in a world that is known to live in an era that consists of stress in the lives of people. It has stood against the test of time and the knowledge of medicine. It had been preventive, protective and curative to the human body.

Ayurveda

According to Ayurveda, our body can be classified into three doshas, vata, pitta and kapa. In ayurveda, food is considered as medicine. Depending on the doshas of a body one has to intake food. As per Ayurveda, one has to eat moderately with certain intervals of time. Ayurveda diet includes plenty of fruits and vegetables that provide fiber and carbohydrate. One should not drink water in between meals and this is strictly prohibited in Ayurveda. This all helps in treating the common problem in society known as constipation which further leads to painful conditions such as piles. Ayurveda has had a great impact on people and lifestyles and has widely spread across various countries and cities. The basic principles of Ayurvedic medicines or facts have to be read and known.
They are:

1) Dhatus: these are tissues that nourish the body. Dhatus has seven types. They are rasa raktha, mamsa, meda, asthi, majja and sukla. Proportionate amounts of Dhatus help balance the various functions of the body in order to maintain good health.

2) Mala: these are waste materials that produced as a consequence of certain metabolic activities in the body. They are dust, dirt, sweat etc. Proper removal of the malas is important to maintain good health. The increase in malas tends to cause various kinds of diseases in the body.

Even though, the science of Ayurveda is well known in the west just recently, it has originated in India 5000 years ago. Not only it helped in treating the body ailments and pains such as back pain, sciatic pain, neck pain, etc. but also ayurvedic medicines and treatments have proved to help people relax and face challenges in a calm and peaceful manner thus improving their complete lifestyle. The important advantage of the entire course of therapy is to use natural substance that is derived from fruits and vegetables and natural minerals.

On the other hand, it has been known to use plant extracts in mixtures that create the needed medicines. These medicines have minimum side effects as proven before when compared to the other kinds of medicines. Natural herbs and medicines can’t harm a body. It practices in a modern lifestyle that includes a moderate amount of food intake, medicine, sexual activity and sleep.

Ayurveda has been practiced for 5000 years and has worked. To have a little faith has sustained amongst the Indian population. The western world has classified Ayurveda and Ayurvedic as an option to another kind of medicine. Despite the classifications, a large amount of the population has chosen Ayurveda and Ayurvedic medicine.
